Dorset trips/tours

FossilWalks.com - Guided fossil hunting and collecting for families at Charmouth on Dorset's coast. Join Chris Pamplin (geologist and former Earth Science Advisor for the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site) on a guided fossil walk. Rather than take you out in a big group, Chris specialises in individual family excursions (including children aged 5 upwards). Available as half-day or whole-day hunting tours.

Archaeotreks ArchaeoTreks.co.uk - Community archaeologist Chris Tripp offers four short walks per weekend visiting archaeological sites at £10 per person per walk, visiting Iron Age hillforts, Bronze Age burial mounds and Roman Dorchester. Chris Tripp is a graduate of the Institute of Archaeology, University College London, and has been an archaeologist for over 21 years, mostly excavating in London and now in Dorset.
